Lyme Disease, Depression

It has been a long journey, but with Li, I have seen miracles. I had come to Li after being diagnosed with Lyme Disease 9 years ago, a year after a possible bite. Doctors could do nothing. So I went from doctors to a Naturopath to Homeopathy. Nothing worked for more than a week or two. So my last hope was acupuncture. My first visit, I barely made it to Li’s office. I walked to a couch and collapsed. I could barely hold my head up. I was so weak. My husband Ron had to fill out the registration forms. My balance was so bad I had to touch walls going to the treatment room. It took awhile, but my balance has improved 100%. My high blood pressure has lowered. The hot flashes and night sweats are pretty much gone. The anxiety attacks I had 2 or 3 times a day are for the most part gone, maybe 1 or 2 a month. My husband used to do everything for me. I just had no energy. Now I do all the laundry, run the vacuum and do some cleaning. I can also fix my lunch and breakfast and do the dishes. I’m back to walking again (short walks) which I love. My sleep has improved 100%. I still get tired, but not like it used to be. I changed our bed this week and didn’t have to sit down  3 or 4 times to catch my breath. I can now get a shower every day (once every 4 or 5 days a year ago) and not have to hold on to things for dear life. We’ve started camping again, twice in the last month. It has been 6 years since I was able to do that. I also have been able to go out to restaurants for a meal. I’m able to go grocery shopping (1st time last week) and can also walk the aisles at Walmart and Lowes, also within the last two weeks. I feel this journey is not over yet and I look forward to the future.

Plantar Fasciitis, Back Pain, Flu, Shingles, Knee Replacement Recovery

I write to share my complete confidence in Dr. Li Zhao Gaudet. I have been a patient of Dr. Li for over

five years, and during that time she has successfully treated a number of ailments/conditions

including: a) plantar fasciitis; b) backache; c) flu; d) shingles; and, most recently, e) eased and

accelerated healing following partial knee replacements in both knees. I have recommended her to a

number of friends and colleagues who have been as pleased as I with the care received.

I grew up in New Hampton, and occasionally biked the five miles over to Bristol to visit the exciting

penny candy store on the main drag (and to see a movie in the narrow movie house opposite). While I

knew that Bristol, like everywhere, had changed, I was surprised when a few years ago I saw a Yin

Yang sign in a storefront window on Pleasant Street. It said, "Acupuncture." As I was suffering from an

acute case of plantar fasciitis I walked in and encountered Dr. Li. I asked her if acupuncture could help

with plantar fasciitis and she responded that the Chinese had been successfully treating it for more

than a millennium.

I made an appointment and the treatment did wonders (where other approaches had failed). In the

first visit I noticed her diploma from the New England School of Acupuncture, and, somewhat puzzled, I asked her if she came over from China to study at this well-respected institution. She explained that she is an MD, and had been a pediatrician (and surgeon) in China for 18 years. After moving to America she took stock of the whole field of health and healing and saw an acute need for a holistic approach, something she was well grounded in through her education and experience.

It is this dual vision that makes Dr. Li so exceptional. She knows what she can do - and she is so skilled in so many areas - but she also recognizes limitations. At least three times over the course of the last five years she has directed me to go see my physician (or dermatologist), and each time her diagnosis has been confirmed. On the other hand, with something like shingles, where Western medicine is quite ineffective, Dr. Li was very successful. After all, as she explained, "the Chinese have been treating shingles for two thousand years!"

Autoimmune Disease, Burning Sensation on Tongue, Skin Rashes

I was diagnosed with the autoimmune disease lichen planus. My symptoms included burning tongue and an uncomfortable rash in various places on my body. I thought I would give acupuncture a try. After my very first treatment my tongue felt better (verified when I went home to eat dinner). Six sessions with Dr. Li and my symptoms are gone!  I also experienced additional results including more relaxation with improved sleep. Dr. Li’s expertise, her amazing healing space, and the various treatments she uses in addition to acupuncture, are a gift.  If you want to stay away from medication and heal your body, make an appointment with Dr. Li. She can change your life!

Peripheral Neuropathy

I was diagnosed in February 2013 with Idiopathic Peripheral Neuropathy. This diagnosis was confirmed by a nerve biopsy that showed damage to my peripheral nerves. I had been having symptoms since 2009. These symptoms included tingling and numb feet and hands and severe pain starting at my shoulder blade and running down my arms. The only treatments I had been receiving were medication. My dosage was up to 2700mg of Neurontin daily and Oxycodone as an extra pain reliever. The pain was only marginally controlled by the medications. The side effects made life a challenge. I decided to try acupuncture thinking it was a last resort for a possible treatment. My doctors did not recommend acupuncture; they were only recommending increasing dosages of medication. I started at Yin-Yang Acupuncture Clinic in May 2013 and almost immediately I felt a decrease in all symptoms. Within weeks, Li was slowly weaning me off Neurontin. The pain and numbness decreased weekly. After 7 months of treatments, I am completely off all medications and am symptom free! I feel the best I’ve felt in several years. Acupuncture has reversed my condition and saved my quality of life.

Kidney Stones, Anxiety

Finding Dr. Li Zhao Gaudet in Bristol, New Hampshire, for me, was like finding a hidden Gemstone. I have spent time living on both U.S. coasts, and for the past 30 years have received acupuncture from practitioners who are known throughout the world for their expertise. Dr. Li brings the same expertise to her work with clients, as well as a strong healing presence. Her treatments for me have been very profound and healing. Acupuncture is always my first choice for healthcare. When I see Dr. Li I am always aware of feeling restored to a balanced level of physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well being after a treatment.I was having a lot of pain in my right lower back and side when I went to see Li Zhao Gaudet. She told me that I had kidney stones and told me what to expect. After two treatments I passed particles without any pain, and the back pain has disappeared.I went to see Li Zhao Gaudet when I was experiencing a lot of anxiety and having chest pain. I had one treatment and when the needles were in my body I felt my whole body relax and for the first time in a long time I was able to breathe deeply. I have not had any anxiety or pain since that session.

Allergies, Shoulder Pain

Before seeing Dr. Gaudet, I suffered from chronic allergies for 15 years. I had multiple sinus infections every year and sinus headaches weekly. I tried allergy injections for four years with medications but it did not help. After just two treatments with Li my headaches started to get better. I have had no sinus infections and little to no allergy symptoms since treatment with acupuncture. My sinus headaches are almost completely gone.I had impingement syndrome in my right shoulder after multiple injuries at work. I could not raise my arm above shoulder level without great pain. After just two acupuncture treatments with Dr. Gaudet my shoulder pain is 100% gone. I can move freely and have had no problems since.

Peripheral Neuropathy
Dealing with peripheral neuropathy caused from having diabetes, as well as from taking chemotherapy for several years, has severely impacted my quality of life. As an alternative to yet another pain pill, patch, or cream (none of which have been extremely effective), I decided to try acupuncture. Much to my surprise, I found Li Zhao Gaudet, MD (China) and Acupuncturist (Pain Specialist), in the small town of Bristol, New Hampshire, ten minutes away from my home town of Danbury. Li Zhao Gaudet’s expertise in the area of pain management (as well as helping with my insomnia and nausea) has had a huge impact on my neuropathy, sleep, and general well-being. I cannot thank her enough for choosing a small town in which to practice and for being there when I need her.

Spinal Stenosis, Neuropathy

My first association with Li was a few years ago. I had severe lumbar stenosis, causing total loss of feeling in my lower legs and feet. This developed into bad pain. My neurologist put me on Lyrica. This worked until I was driving and my vision got all distorted. This is a side effect of this medicine. I asked Dr. Larson about acupuncture and he said they haye been around for thousands of years; go for it. I went to see Li and she went to work. It took a few months but I got 90% of the feeling back into my feet and legs. I was medicine and pain free. Dr Larson was impressed with what she did for me. Last winter I got a severe sinus infection. My primary Dr. gave an antibiotic. It turned out I was allergic to it. It attacked the nerves in my feet again. Back to see Li. While working on my legs, she started to work on my sinus congestion. Two treatments and I was congestion free. This was confirmed by a CT scan. She also regulated my severe sweating problem  Go see her you might be surprised at what she can do for you.
